Every year, there are a plethora of construction industry events to explore and enjoy, and 2023 will be no different. And like many participating in these events, we find particular joy in being able to connect with other industry professionals and share our own expertise in concrete waterproofing, abrasion and erosion control, and monitoring. For those who feel similarly, here are just some of the amazing events available throughout the year that you can check out and even go to meet up with some of our representatives.

Location: Anvil Centre, BC, Canada

Anvil Centre

The Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) is the fifth largest of its kind in Canada. That makes its annual general meeting a must for any who work in the British Columbia (BC) construction industry. After all, it will provide plenty of local networking opportunities and a better understanding of benefits available to those part of its membership.

Catering to those looking to source new suppliers, connect with existing ones, find business solutions, and develop partnerships, the Canadian Concrete Expo is back to help this February. It’s one of the bigger events in Canada, drawing in more than 7,000 industry professionals from across the world and hosting more than 300 exhibiting companies and 30 conference sessions.

Location: Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, NY, USA

Jacob K. Javits Convention CenterAs the largest construction and design show in the New York region, New York Build Expo brings together thousands of senior-level AEC and real estate industry members. That opens up plenty of opportunities to learn about major construction projects for New York’s residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. At the same time, the expo also showcases over 300 high-level speakers, multiple workshops, 285 exhibitors, and popular networking events, such as the ones for women and diversity in construction.

Location: Seattle Convention Center, WA, USA

Seattle Convention CenterAs the only design-build event focused on water and wastewater sectors in the United States of America, the Design-Build Institute of America’s conference will provide unique insights. It will also be a draw for relevant design-build owners and exhibitors, creating specific networking opportunities not easily found elsewhere. In addition to that, the conference also offers four key discussions that will look into market volatility, supply chain challenges, progressive design-build approaches, teamwork, and the fundamental elements of design-build work.

Location: ExCeL London, London, England

ExCeL London exhibition centerSharing the same time and space with UK Construction Week, one of the UK’s biggest construction events, Concrete Expo aims to be larger and more immersive than ever before. Over 4,000 trade professionals working with concrete and its supply chain are expected to attend. To add to that, Concrete Expo will include workshops, live demos, keynote speakers, industry buyer meet-ups, and a VIP lounge. These will all serve as a way for professionals to meet up, further their business, and develop more insights into topics surrounding concrete admixtures, eco-solutions, and sustainability.

Hyatt Regency Hotel in CalgaryOffering both in-person and online access, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s conference will host a number of events designed to promote professional and educational success. These will include eight streams on a variety of topics of interest, such as climate justice, equity, accessibility, heritage, urbanism, Indigenous-led architecture, innovation, and architectural business. There will also be chances to engage in discussion with other professionals and encounter inspiring and innovative ideas in the world of architects.

The Calgary Chapter for Construction Specifications Canada will be holding a conference in late May. Featuring over 25 expert speakers and multiple technical sessions, the event will most certainly be valuable to any in the construction industry looking to further their industry insight.

Location: Surrey Golf Club, BC, Canada

This upcoming spring, Concrete BC will be hosting their annual golf event for members, which includes over 60 concrete producers, plants, and suppliers. Those who join will be treated to a free lunch coupon, prizes for certain golfing events, and plenty of chances to enjoy a sporting time and network with other industry professionals.

Held at Northview Golf & Country Club, which is famous for its Arnold Palmer-designed courses, the tournament offers events for all levels of golfers alongside a lunch and dinner with additional refreshments that can be purchased throughout the day.

Supported by senior government officials in Egypt and from across Africa, The Big 5 Construct Egypt event is well regarded, drawing in a number of key stakeholders and decision-makers from surrounding regions. As a result, it opens the door to high-quality networking for industry professionals, helping to generate better business and get better insight into Egypt’s booming construction market.

Location: Shanghai New International Expo Center, Shanghai, China

Seen as one of the more influential concrete and masonry industry events in the world, World of Concrete Asia welcomes over 37,000 visitors while offering over 90 events and 720 exhibitors. Attendees will find not only great opportunities to see innovative Chinese construction products but also opportunities to increase their own product presence in the Chinese industry and to gain new insights through multiple forums.
